Baseline
Fly all 10 maneuvers for a first score. Then practice.

Every stick configuration.

Per maneuver.

Proficient = same
or better on 7 of 10.
Each maneuver is 60 seconds of laps around the orange path on the flight map. The name tells the pilot which way the drone's camera faces: forward, backward, or turned in or out from the table. Flying all ten uses every stick configuration on the controller.

The pilot stands at the table and watches the drone. The score sheet calls this the Speed Test: laps counted in 60 seconds.
The pilot turns their back to the table and flies from the controller screen and the drone's camera. BVLOS means beyond visual line of sight.
Both levels: a pilot is proficient when Round 02 is the same or better than Round 01 on at least 7 of the 10 maneuvers.

A drone unit with a result you can show a principal: a baseline, a test and a clear pass rule.
Ten maneuvers, a timer and a score sheet, ready for your next class.
The same table and the same rules every time, so a proficiency check means the same thing for every pilot.
The Hover Table comes from The Pilot Mind, an FAA Part 107 drone training school in Northeastern Pennsylvania led by Dr. John G. Duesler, Jr. We use it in our own Mod 02 drone skills training. The table design and the method are patent pending.
